Lubbock,Texas - No, the sky is not falling and we're not all going to die but we might be absent from work. And that has the Chamber worried about local businesses. An email statement urges local managers to prepare for up to 10% of the workforce to be out at any given time as the flu spreads. And the Lubbock Chamber statement urges businesses to develop a plan and says that's good advice for families too._____(James Clark/1420 NewsRadio copy)
_______
The Chamber referred to is Lubbock Chamber of Commerce. It's a "let's panic" story about "swine flu" trying to drum up support for "swine flu" shots in their experimental stage. This editor said no to all flu shots, period!
Editor's NOTE
This story comes from 1420 NewsRadio with a James Clark byline. This editor contacted KCBD-TV and he is still employed there. Clark left 1420 NewsRadio recently but now appears to be doing print copy at 1420 website. Phony baloney news team of Paul Beane/Dave Taylor recently left 1420 NewsRadio so Dave Walker(1420AM/True Country FM) may have brought Clark back to get legitimate news coverage. James Clark recently falsely accused this editor on an email of being
jamesdadburnett@gmail.com using DAD in the header. James Clark does have "It's Clif Burnett under an alias" syndrome which also afflicts Greg Bruce at UMC. Clark is a respected member of news gathering community even though he is employed by KCBD-TV which has large government advertising contracts that will limit his ability to "expose" any government irregularities.
